Bingo News: Dragonfish appoints new Head
888’s B2B arm Dragonfish has recently announced that they have appointed a new managing director, David Zerah. The new appointment follows the departure of Gabi Campos, the previous managing director who left the company in June after the release of 888’s full year results.
David Zerah certainly has an impressive CV. Zerah spent 7 years as executive vice president of sales worldwide for digital media software provider Vizrt and then moving on to become Vizrt’s Chief Commercial Officer with an impressive profit growth record of $17m per year to over $100m. Zerah plans to take up his new position at Dragonfish next month.
Zerah commented: "I am very pleased to join one of the leading B2B players in the gaming industry at such an exciting time. This industry is dynamic, and the emergence of new technologies and platforms present very exciting possibilities for online gaming.”
Dragonfish hopes that the new addition will extend the business fortune experienced under the management of Gabi Campos as although results for 888 holdings had been a lot worse than previously anticipated, the B2B arm of the company, Dragonfish profits had continued to grow even though the 888 profits had been on the decline.
Zerah will certainly have enough to get his teeth in to with the recent deal signed with MTV Networks UK and Ireland which will be the 1st bingo offering by MTV and will be a skin on the Dragonfish Network. The new development will be well placed for publicity as it’s sure to receive maximum exposure via the MTV and VIVA network both through television and online with the new site going live in July 2010.
Other deals with popular household names such Cheeky Bingo, Foxy Bingo and Think Bingo to name just a few, all of which currently use Dragonfish’s bingo software.
