Bingo News: Gala Bingo says goodbye to Nectar
After being a proud member of the Nectar loyalty scheme for many years, one of the largest gaming operators Gala Bingo has announced that they are to dissolve their partnership with the Nectar scheme.
It has been confirmed that as of the 1st June 2010 players will no longer be able to earn Nectar points with Gala nor spend their nectar points via their online bingo sites or at any of their bingo venues across the UK.
Whilst there has been no reason given for the withdrawal of the scheme, it is believed that the decision was reached after a review of the Gala Bingo reward program.
The news will come as a disappointment to many players as some have invested a lot of time and money in to the scheme and will now find that they unable to use their hard earned points to participate in their much loved bingo games.
Gala Bingo has reported that they will honour the terms of the scheme up until the 31st May 2010. Players will still be able to earn and spend their Nectar points at Gala Bingo up until this date which should cushion the blow a little for players.
Customers will need to be aware that their Nectar points can still be spent and earned with other Nectar reward partners such as Homebase and Sainsbury’s to name but a few.
Although the Nectar scheme is being discontinued at Gala Bingo it is anticipated that a new scheme from Gala is on the horizon and of course they will still continue to provide some great promotions for all their customers, whether they be online on in the Bingo venues.
Promotions such as the Windicate feature and £20 sign up bonus demonstrates that Gala bingo is still committed to offering its customers excellent value for money on all their favourite bingo games.
