Casino Of Dreams Review
On its inception in 2016, Casino of Dreams set the bar high by calling itself by such an aspirational name, and this led to a fairly intense level of disappointment.
In its early stages, Casino of Dreams was at best a deeply average site, with very little to offer players and certainly nothing that would appear in even the subtlest of dreams.
However, the site has since upgraded from its original Realtime Gaming Software (RTG) to the far superior Microgaming suite, which suggests that perhaps there is more to be found here that will be of interest now.
So has this upgrade been enough to make the difference by itself, has Casino of Dreams brought anything else new, or is this still an example of a mediocre site with ideas above its station?
Design and theme
Perhaps the most important part of the site that needed changing was its design concept, and unfortunately this has not happened.
This means that we are left with a site that is only remarkable in how blue it is. This may seem like a strange thing to say, but there are so many shades of blue here that it’s difficult to know where to look. A small amount of yellow in the logo and little bits of white here and there are not enough to make this colour scheme look like it has simply been put together using block colours on an early 90s graphics program, which is far from inspiring.
There’s a bit of an attempt in terms of graphics, images from available games interchange across the top, with a picture of a bit of planet Earth from a distance combined with poker chips and other relevant images, but it seems at best like a half-hearted effort to improve what is a disastrously bad design theme.
Navigation is simple enough, which is a plus, but this is the very least one would expect, which suits, because the least one would expect is what you get here, in terms of appearance at least.
The differences that have been made by the switch to Microgaming are most noticeable, obviously, in the gaming selection. What was once a lacklustre collection now offers over 270 titles, many of which are very popular.
Slots fans can enjoy the likes of Game of Thrones 243 Ways, Jurassic Park, Bridesmaids, and Tomb Raider, as well as other popular titles like Titans of the Sun, Hot as Hades, Immortal Romance, Avalon 2, Thunderstruck 2, and jackpot titles including Mega Moolah.
There’s also a good choice for table game fans, with various multi-hand blackjack games, and a number of variations of roulette and poker, you will also find craps and baccarat amongst the table and game choices.
This massive increase in the choice of games that are favourites amongst online players is definitely a step-up for Casino of Dreams, but it simply does not feel like enough.
This site still has a misleading name, an incredibly dull design theme, and promotions and bonuses are sparse and also oddly difficult to find, although those two facts may be linked.
It is obviously helpful that there is now a better collection of games for players, but you will find nothing here that you won’t be able to play elsewhere, on better sites that feel like they have made more of an effort.
And therein lies the main problem with Casino of Dreams, it feels lazy, like the motions have been gone through, but there has been no attempt to actually offer exciting anything to players, and no amount of Microgaming titles is going to make up for that.
