And it’s Goodbye to Bingon

Another bingo site bites the dust this month with the closing of Bingon on 25th May. The site which has been powered by Parlay and is owned Mediterranean Gaming Ltd, has only been around since 2009 so it’s a mere 3 years old.

At the moment we’re not quite sure what’s gone on and why Bingon is closing up but the online bingo industry is ever changing and with new and improved sites cropping up all the time, it leaves little space for the stragglers. That said, I always rather liked Bingon with it’s sleek design and user friendly layout. The 600% welcome package didn’t hurt either but that’s soon to be a distant memory.

If you’re an exiting member of this bingo site, don’t panic, you will probably have received an email giving you details of what you need to do if you have any money tied up in your Bingon account. As for where you’ll play instead, I can help you there!

2012 has seen a small but decent selection of new bingo sites launch including one of my favourites Robin Hood Bingo. This site is brought to you by NewCo Entertainment, the people who brought you Moon Bingo and runs on Dragonfish software, though this site is unlike the other Dragonfish sites with it’s unique theme, games and promotions. New members get 4 days of free bingo games and the choice of various welcome package, starting at a free £15 when you deposit just £5. Another plus point for Robin Hood Bingo is that it accepts Paypal, which is slowly but surely becoming a popular payment method on online bingo sites.

Robin Hood Bingo has all the usual 75 and 90 ball bingo games, there’s not that many instant games but enough to keep you busy.

Another new bingo site, which has literally been open just a few weeks, is Comfy Bingo. Grab a free £15 no deposit bonus to try this site which belongs to the Live Bingo Network and runs on software giant Cozy Games software. New members get 750% in welcome bonuses on their first three deposits and access to loads of instant games, slots, scrathcards and casino games on top of all the standard bingo games you could want to play.

We’d be here all day if I told you all of the bingo site launches for 2012 so I’ll just sneak one last site in, and that’s Big Brother Bingo. This site launched in January 2012 when the newest Celebrity Big Brother TV series was screened on Channel 5. This is the official Big Brother site and features news and gossip from the show, as well as promotions and prizes to do with the show. Big Brother Bingo runs on the Joy of Bingo network which also houses Wink Bingo, Posh Bingo and RedBus Bingo, amongst others.

The site has a truly unique design with bingo rooms being actual rooms from the Big Brother House. There’s tons of games on site and plenty to keep you entertained, from regularly updated promotions to polls and Big Brother news. This is a great bingo site, whether you’re a fan of the TV show or not.

So, it’s goodbye to Bingon, which is sad but hey ho – life goes on. Why not try one of the bingo sites I’ve mentioned here or keep an eye on our new bingo site section to see what’s new for May.
