Foxy Bingo and the Super League (Rugby league’s premier competition) are to unite forces in time for upcoming Super League season which kicks off on February third when the defending Super League champions the Leeds Rhinos meet Hull FC. The deal revolves around the fact that Foxy Bingo have signed themselves up as one of the official partners of the Super League in a bid to draw in keen Rugby fans to their online bingo site.
Foxy Bingo belongs to the Bwin group, the same online gambling company that already has sponsorship deals with Real Madrid and Manchester United, two of the biggest football teams in the world. The new multi-year deal with the Super League should strengthen the ties that Foxy Bingo (and more directly the Bwin group) already has in the sports industry.
So just what will Foxy Bingo get for the hard invested pounds in sponsorship? It is widely thought that Foxy Bingo will gain advertising hoardings throughout the stadium, with additional advertisements on match day programmes, the Super League website and additional TV spots during commercials on channels hosting the live Rugby action from the Super League.
Both parties released press statements shortly after the deal was announced, with both companies praising their own brands, as well as stating that they were highly excited to be working with one another. Foxy Bingo isn’t believed to be the only new brand investing in the rapidly popular Rugby League competition however, and a number of other companies are expected to sign deals to sponsor the Super League in the coming weeks. None of the others though are believed to be related to the online gambling industry, giving Foxy Bingo what could be seen as an inevitable clean sweep of the avid gambling Rugby fans.
