If you are under the impression that this is a site based around the classic Lynyrd Skynyrd hit Sweet Home Alabama, which you would be forgiven for assuming based on the name, I’m afraid you would be incorrect.
Instead what you have here is a site based around sweets and houses, a charming little design theme, but not one that is going to revolutionise anything or push any boundaries.
A new site for 2016, Sweet Home Bingo finds itself up against some seriously stiff competition. There are more bingo sites popping up all the time, and the market was already heavily saturated, so to set oneself apart, something special needs to occur.
This is actually easier than you may assume, as a surprising amount of bingo sites do not make the necessary effort to set themselves apart, instead you will find hundreds of different sites offering essentially the same selection of games and promotions with very little to tell them apart.
So has Sweet Home Bingo taken advantage of this fact, by bringing something new and waking the industry up? In a word, no.
The design work here is pretty charming, the pastel colour scheme is very cute and will appeal to a large demographic of bingo players, there is only really one main problem with the design here, and that is based on concept.
To suggest the Sweet Home of the title, there is a house that is predominantly made of sweets, with two very happy gingerbread people in front of it.
There is nothing wrong with this design work, right up until you think about it of any length of time.
What you have here, is a site that is trying to tempt in new players, entice them if you will, and in order to do this, they have chosen a house made of sweets.
Now, I don’t know how well the people from Sweet Home Bingo know their fairy tales, but all you have to do is ask Hansel and Gretel and you will discover that temptation that is based on a house made of sweets has historically be known to have fairly dire after-effects for the temptee.
I assume this is not the idea that Sweet Home Bingo is going for here, but one can’t help but think that this theme could’ve been thought through a little more before being chosen.
As said earlier, there is nothing particularly new or fresh about the gaming selection at Sweet Home Bingo, but that being said, there is a lot more variety here than there are in a lot of places.
Bingo games come in various forms, 90 ball, 80 ball, 75 ball, 50 ball, and 30 ball, as well as a variety of tournament games.
If you are a slots fan, you will find will find Fluffy Favourites, Cleopatra, Spinata Grande, TwinSpin, all the usual suspects really, but a fair selection.
You will also be able to play table and card games and a few scratch cards if you’re more of an instant win fan.
You will find these games at other bingo sites, but rarely all at one, which I suppose is a unique selling point in and of itself.
The problem is, that’s all you get, a couple of unique or exclusive games, a touch of different gameplay, anything really, and Sweet Home Bingo would become an excellent site, but as it is, due to there not really being anything special on offer here, this site is restricted to being nothing more than quite good.
Suggested for beginners, but the more experienced player will probably already know a better site.
